LNG Processing
Liquefaction of Natural Gas
RSI SIMCON is involved in natural gas liquefaction processes, with high-fidelity modeling of cold boxes and compression sections.
Compression studies
RSI SIMCON performs detailed engineering studies on compressors. For each compression train, studies focus on:
- shutdown sequence
- start-up sequence
- emergency shut down validation
- compressor hot-by pass requirement study
- anti surge behavior
- gas composition change effect on compressor behavior
- compressor settle out pressure checking for piping class validation
- cooling exchanger duty and process conditions variation around the compressor in case of large process changes (temperature and pressure range values checking)
- Safety system checking - validation of alarm set points
- depressurization study
- compressor up loading and down loading behavior study
LNG carriers
- LNGC cargo
- ballast system
- safety procedures for loading and unloading operations
- gas management system
- electric propulsion system
- LNG re-liquefaction system
- machinery room and inert gas plant with the complete control logic
