Large simulators, already developed by RSI SIMCON, are hosted in one unique dual processor system (a Simulation Server) with at least an acceleration equal to 1 (real time) . This performance is the result of the use of powerful computing algorithms.
However, INDISS™ is able, on Clients' request, to distribute simulation models on several Servers while guaranteeing coherence of dynamic responses under various operating conditions (start up, normal operation, emergency shut down, etc.). If necessary, a Process Unit may be split into several parts according to experienced simulation criteria.
Communication between Simulation Servers is ensured via an OPC Server. Navigation on the whole Simulator, over a number of Process Units - for instance for an entire refinery complex - is achieved on one Viewer PC. The number of Viewer consoles may be increased to match Clients' need since several consoles may be required for engineering studies / training purposes.
